Fundamentals of Volunteer Management


During National Volunteering Week, we saw our training go online. Sharon  Meaney, manager of the Clare Volunteer Centre, delivered the training along with her colleague Geraldine O Sullivan manager of the Kerry Volunteer Centre. The training was delivered over two mornings and covered the basic principles of good volunteer management from developing volunteer role descriptions, removing barriers, recruitment and screening and volunteer supervision and management.
